Exciting news is coming your way if you call Ward 2 home! I am thrilled to introduce the Etobicoke-Centre Community Impact Network – a fresh initiative aimed at bringing our community together, fostering open and progressive dialogue, and giving each resident a chance to actively participate in influencing the future of our neighborhood. The group is in the early planning stages and will be joining social media later this week with a website coming very shortly!
Why Etobicoke-Centre Community Impact Network?
Our community is unique, diverse, and vibrant, and it deserves a platform where everyone feels heard and valued. The Impact Network is not just about addressing issues; it's about building a sense of togetherness and empowerment. We want to create a space where your voice matters, where we work collaboratively towards solutions that benefit us all.
Who can join?
Membership is open to all residents and non-profit organizations who call Etobicoke-Centre home. Our commitment to inclusivity ensures that every voice, regardless of background or experience, is an essential part of our community conversation. Whether you've been here for decades or recently moved in, your perspective is invaluable and we invite you to be a part of this exciting journey.
How will you operate?
To effectively address the specific concerns that matter most to you; the committee will establish working groups dedicated to various areas of interest. These groups will allow us to delve deeper into topics such as community development, environmental sustainability, infrastructure, and more. By joining a working group, you can channel your energy into the issues you are most passionate about. It's time more residents had a say at all levels of government and were able to engage in an open dialogue with our elected officials.
What guides the group?
We are guided by Respect, Equity, and Equality. The Etobicoke-Centre Community Impact Network is committed to fostering a respectful and inclusive environment. We believe in the principles of equity and equality, recognizing the diversity within our community. Our discussions and actions will be guided by these principles, ensuring that every voice is not only heard but also valued. By embracing diversity, we can build a stronger, more resilient community that reflects the richness of our collective experiences.
How can residents contribute?
We are actively seeking individuals who are enthusiastic about making a positive impact on our community. If you're interested in joining the Etobicoke-Centre Community Impact Network or participating in one of our working groups, please reach out to us at eccinetwork@gmail.com .
We are excited to hear your ideas, concerns, and witnessing the positive changes we can achieve together in the community we all call home!
At the core of the Etobicoke-Centre Community Impact Network is a commitment to progress—a shared vision of building a community that evolves with the times and embraces positive change. The group proudly identifies as a progressive group, fostering an environment where forward-thinking ideas are not just encouraged but celebrated. The aim is to create a space where innovation, diversity, and social responsibility thrive. By being progressive, they ensure that our community remains at the forefront of positive transformation, addressing current challenges with resilience, and envisioning a future that reflects the values and aspirations of every resident.

Congratulations Jennifer on a great initiative. As Founder of No More Noise Toronto I would like to create something similar. We all have our own relationships with sound and I can't be an expert, nor speak from lived experience from all of them. Here's to empowering, and equipping many voices to create the city that is a great place to live, work, play and sleep.
Thanks Ingrid, it's time for more in Ward 2 to have a voice! Always happy to chat and help you grow No More Noise!
