A new way to hear local stories that matter.
We’re excited to share something new with you today — something that’s been in the works behind the scenes and feels like a natural next step for The Etobicoke Voice.
This spring, we’re launching The Etobicoke Voice Podcast, a space for deeper conversations with neighbours, advocates, and changemakers who have strong personal ties to our communities west of the Humber River.
This podcast is for the people who stay informed, who care deeply about their city, and who are often left out of the narrative. It’s a way to listen in on the work happening just beneath the surface — on housing, road safety, education, climate, and so much more.
Today, we’re sharing a short teaser to introduce what’s coming.
What to Expect
The podcast will launch officially later this spring, with new episodes published right here on Substack. No extra apps. Just voices from your community, delivered straight to your inbox (if you want to talk about sponsorship, we are open to chat)!
We’ll be featuring:
Interviews with local organizers and advocates
Spotlight stories on quiet neighbourhood heroes
Deep dives into issues affecting Etobicoke today — and tomorrow
We’ll also bring in some reflections, short audio essays, and guest voices from across the community.
Later this year, we’ll be expanding to YouTube and possibly other platforms — but for now, this space is home.
Help Spread the Word
If you believe in local storytelling and grassroots change, we hope you’ll share this teaser with friends, neighbours, and anyone who wants a more grounded take on Etobicoke’s future.
Thanks for being part of this journey — we can’t wait to share more.
