So many great events are taking place over the next month here in Etobicoke and I thought it would be good to get in a habit of making a post weekly with some highlights! Lets start today with a few local events that are taking place this weekend. Here are three family friendly ways to get outside and enjoy this continuing summer-like weather while you can!
Sat Sept 30
TORONTO RAVINE DAYS - TOM RILEY PARK RAVINE WALK
The Friends of Tom Riley Park invite you to join them to celebrate and enjoy our local Mimico Creek ravine as part of Toronto’s Ravine Days! Its happening Saturday September 30 starting at 11:30 am.
Learn about the unique history and diverse plants and animals in your ravine and park. Ask any questions or share concerns.
The event will be cancelled in the event of extreme weather including thunder/lightning.
Meeting location: Park entrance on Bloor St West near the community garden.
To register or for any inquiries, please contact FriendsofTomRileyPark@gmail.com
Sun Oct 1
TASTE OF NEW TORONTO
This event happens each week until the end of October! Keep in mind this is outside so dress for the weather.
DEPUTY MAYOR MORLEY’S FALL FEST
This is a first and so you will not want to miss out!
I am always on the look out for local events that are community-oriented and that may be of interest to others in the area. If you happen to hear of anything happening or you are planning an event in the community and would like to share it with all of us, please feel free to email the details to TheEtobicokeVoice@gmail.com .
A great initiative! Thanks Etobicoke Voice.
