For the past few years, The Etobicoke Voice has been highlighting the people, projects, and ideas that make our community stronger. We've talked about the need for bold leadership, the importance of inclusive spaces, and the power of local voices in shaping the future. Now, we want to hear from you—not just to spark ideas but to connect them with the people and organizations that can help bring them to life.
The Lead The Future - Etobicoke Vision Challenge is more than just a contest—it’s an opportunity to turn ideas into action. Whether you're thinking about sustainability, transportation, public spaces, housing, or civic engagement, this challenge is designed to connect your vision with the groups and leaders who can help make it happen.
How Your Ideas Can Make a Difference
Community change doesn’t happen in isolation. Many of the ideas we’ve discussed in The Etobicoke Voice—from better public spaces to innovative housing solutions—have emerged because individuals spoke up, collaborated, and found allies to push forward.
This challenge provides:
🔹 A platform for your ideas – Get your vision in front of local leaders, advocates, and change-makers.
🔹 Opportunities to connect – We’ll be working to highlight standout ideas to the groups and organizations best positioned to help them move forward.
🔹 A chance to inspire action – A great idea can spark real change when it reaches the right people at the right time.
How to Get Involved
Step 1: Dream big—what does the future of Etobicoke look like to you?

💡 Planning to participate?
To help us plan and ensure we can connect entrants with the right networks, we ask that you fill out the form of interest when you decide you are interested in submitting an entry. This will allow us to provide updates, resources, and support to help bring your vision to life. It will also help in the planning of an event in May to celebrate our community and those of you who put in the hard work to make Etobicoke such a great place to live !
This is more than just a challenge—it’s a call to action. Your ideas have the power to shape Etobicoke’s future, and we’re here to help make sure they don’t just stay on paper.
Let’s build something great together!
Great initiative!
